Trip Out East Part 2

Danny and Isabelle at the Creation Museum. :) uh-oh...

Today it was raining when we were driving on the tollway, and Dad noticed a sign that said to turn off your windshield wipers before entering the tollbooths. When he got to the booth, he asked the toll-collector-woman why they had that rule.
    "Take a guess," she said.
"I don't know," Dad said, "because you shouldn't need it under the awning?" Mom had a better guess. "Because you'd get sprayed!"
"YEAH!" She said. "That's DIRTY water and I don't wanna get wet in here! All that water would be on me!" She was hilarious.

If you're not laughing, it was probably a "be-there" moment!

Betsy with Mr. Jefferson

Betsy again... she's so adorable!

Jefferson Memorial and Washington Monument

Lincoln Memorial

Dad and co. checkin' out the Nissan Cube

The tour bus :) It was FREEZING, especially on top!
What a beautiful sight, the new and improved reflecting pool...

Four beautiful strads, what a waste. (Only one of three strad cellos sits behind this glass.)  :(

The coolest picture of the entire trip. Literally.

The fam minus Amy and me.
Lady Freedom was posing for me. I couldn't turn her down.

Most of the parking garage clearances were lower than our van roof. The top looks a little different than it did when we left, needless to say.

The liberty bell. Slightly overrated.

Independance Hall. The big chair in front is the one George Washington used, and the only original item in the room. (Minus the walls...)

Danny thought this room was REALLY cool. (I wonder why... :) He wanted to show it to everyone even after they had already seen it.

Amy's favorite part of the house, the harpsichord  :)  JK.

A tree and a very objectionable picture...

Betsy again, following the classic conversation so well known to Amy and I... :)

Macy's :):):):):):):):):):):):):)

Can't take it in

Peter Richard Conte. Look him up. He's AMAZING. Great at communicating music. Not so well socially:)
