In case you didn't know, our family is taking a 3-week trip out east. We left dear old Minnesota on Monday, and drove all day both Monday and Tuesday. (On Tuesday night we visited Verity Institute and our friends from NoteWorthy.) On Wednesday we went to the Creation Museum in Kentucky with the Crains. It was a blast and we LOVED it.
Donny was freaked out about something...and Sarah thinks she's getting me back? Never...
Kelly and Rachel almost succeeded at acting *ghetto*
They had all these wax figures that talked, and it wouldn't have been so bad except for the fact that THEIR EYES MOVED BACK AND FORTH!!!! It was just a little creepy...and this guy was Methuselah.
Priscilla, Rachel and Kelly enjoying smoothies
Next we went to the new Flight 93 memorial in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. It was rainy and windy...gotta get that experience on every trip! The weather has been beautiful this week, though.
Next stop...
...the White House! We took the tour on Thursday, and it was interesting to see all the rooms and learn their history. That day, we took the double-decker bus tour to see the sights.
Sarah and Danny
Angela and I...and somebody else too :)
Mom and Danny in front of the Capitol
Dad reading the inscriptions in the Jefferson Memorial
It was absolutely hilarious...Betsy would come up to you at the memorials and say, "Well, aren't you going to take a picture of me?" We'd say, "Did you want me to?" And she'd say, "yeah," like DUH. So here's her picture. She and Kelly had the exact same conversation!
Kelly and I at the World War 2 Memorial...even in DC, Minnesota RULES!!!!
Angela and the Washington Monument
I thought this was interesting: our tour guide told us that each star stands for about 100 men that died in World War 2. You can barely even see the individual stars!
Walking down the street, we saw this man providing entertainment--with 5-gallon buckets! It actually sounded okay, and he looked like he was having fun! :) Who wouldn't, with buckets for drums?
We found a heart shaped rock by the Chesapeake Bay--it was too cute :)
We celebrated Mrs. Gidwani's birthday by having dinner with their family. (Somebody called them the Galvanis. :) On the way home, the "big kids" in the back seat were bored, so they (we) made clay models of eachother.

Me (pretty sad, huh? Courtesy of Angela)
And Kelly (also by Angela)
That's it for today...I think I covered almost a whole week! :P
Sounds like so much fun, Amy!! And the pictures are pretty awesome, too. :) We miss you guys around here, that's for sure!
